“Remember, a real decision is measured by the fact that you’ve taken new action. If there’s no action, you haven’t truly decided.” ~Tony Robbins
Eye opener for sure! This quote hit me this morning. I just realized what I was doing!
I made a decision (well, I thought I did) to eliminate white carbs and eat clean, lean and green as much as possible. Instead of just doing it, I have been researching it to death while I make no changes to my diet. I'm still eating that white pasta and having that sandwich and using a box of something to help me cook instead of just doing it! So I haven't really, truly decided to eliminate white carbs and eat clean, lean and green. I only decided to research it right? Now, there's nothing wrong with researching this stuff so I know the right choices, find recipes, grocery lists, etc. But, what I should have been doing was making small changes as I was learning right? I was continuing with the same eating patterns and behavior and not taking any new action.
It's one thing to just decide to do something. To decide that you are going to start a new fitness routine, make a change in your diet, start a meditation practice, strengthen a relationship with someone, get a new job, go back to school….you get the idea. It's another to actually act on that decision.
To come from a place where that decision changes your actions and behavior...that is progress. Stop thinking about it or beating yourself up for not having done it yet. Take a first step today towards your goals and dreams. There’s no better day than today, no better moment than this moment to get started!
Go ahead get going!! I'll keep you posted!!
