5 Day Eating Cleaner Challenge!!

Reality: Everyone falls off the wagon from time to time.

It’s true. If this is you, I want you to toss aside the guilt & criticism. It happens!  It happens to us all.  Even those of us with the best intentions.  Right?

However, what’s most important is what you do about it right NOW. Stop beating yourself up.  Let's just make a different choice.

Here's the hard truth.  You have 2 choices. You can either stay right where you are and nothing changes OR you can say “Not any more” and do something about it.

You can join my FREE 5-Day Clean Eating Challenge Group! I’ll provide the meal plan, shopping list, tips, and motivation, giving you the perfect jumping off point towards the New You!

This is one of my most popular challenge groups and one that I so love doing!!  Everyone gets fabulous results and feels so good when they are done.  Here are some results from past challengers:

Brittany B - My results are in. 5 1/2 pounds! I think I need to do a little happy dance! I definitely want to do these in the future! Way to start off my weekend!
Angela T – I can now say I completely get why eating right + exercise makes a difference. I can do all the exercise in the world but if I don't watch what I eat I won't really see much results.

Gloria B - I am shocked by my results!!!!! I have lost 7.4 lbs in 5 days!!! How is that even possible?!!!
Tina F - I lost a total of 4.4 lbs and gained more energy
Jonda G - Loved the meals!! Really enjoyed being a part of the group!
Tracy V - Lost 4 lbs and a couple inches, felt better, and slept better.
There are several more like that and they all deserve a huge pat on the back!! We all need that little jump start and kick in the pants.

Join me on Monday, January 23rd for 5 days and commit to eating well and clean! This is a FREE group event where we will partner together focusing ourselves on proper planning for a busy week, getting the right foods and nutrition in and having the support of a healthy like-minded community.  I will give you everything you need: the meal plan, grocery list, recipes and my coaching support.

It's easy to let go of eating well and getting the right nutrition during a hectic back to school schedule where the drive thru and boxed processed food looks convenient. However, habits like these will actually have a negative effect on the way you can sustain and maintain a healthy work ethic, life and relationships because it's not giving yourself the right fuel to drive yourself well and give you the energy you need to get through your day.

It takes 3 things, a commitment from you, proper planning and faith that it is totally doable and will positively benefit your busy life in a GOOD way!

Unless you're already committed to another health group and community and are living this out daily, I don't think ANYTHING should be holding you back or offering an excuse to join us! Plus we are really cool and fun!!

It's totally FREE and nothing but supportive motivation and resources here to help you thrive and live life fully!

RSVP to the Facebook Event page and sign up here to get your profile with me and I will contact you directly so we can get you set up!

How to dine out without the guilt

I love going out to restaurants. It’s relaxing, fun and I don’t have to cook or clean up the mess.  But, how do you go out to eat and keep it pretty healthy? Here’s what I do when I know I’m going out.

Check out the menu before you go
If you know where you are headed, see if the restaurant has a web page and look at their menu online. Decide ahead of time what you are going to have. If you already have it in your head and get a craving for it, it’s much easier to stick with it when it comes time to order.

Free stuff = lots of extra calories
Don’t pay any attention to that cute basket with the warm bread and butter or tortilla chips and salsa when they bring it to your table. An average piece of bread is about 100 calories and the butter adds another 35 or so. If you just can’t pass it up keep your portions small and use balsamic vinegar and olive oil instead of butter.

Avoid menu items with these words:
Deep-fried
Battered
Stir-fried
Pan-fried

Choose these instead:
Broiled
Baked
Grilled
Steamed

On the side please
Notice what sides come with the meal. Go with extra steamed veggies or a salad with dressing on the side instead of mashed potatoes, rice or pasta. Also pay attention to any sauces the dish may come with. Skip the heavy, creamy, buttery sauces and go instead with a marinara sauce or ask for any sauces on the side so you control the amount you eat or better yet skip the sauce altogether. If you ask for a dish “dry” that means you want to skip all sauces and most restaurants will lightly season your chicken or fish and not use the butter, oil, etc.

Whole grain
Choose whole grain choices when there is an option. Most Italian restaurants now offer whole wheat pasta or gluten-free. I choose those whenever I can. There are even pizza places that offer these as well.

Don’t drink away your calories
Be aware of the calories and sugar you are drinking. Always, always have water and skip the soda and juice. If you want an adult drink, choose drinks that don’t have a lot of extra sugar added to them. For me, I choose red wine or a vodka soda with lemon and lime. My favorite is a lemon drop, but I try and make those less frequent.

Size does matter
Restaurant portion sizes can be pretty big. I will often share a meal or will order a lunch or appetizer portion if that is available. I usually take a doggy bag home and make something of it the next day.

Last but not least
Finally, don’t be afraid to tell your waiter exactly what you’d like or ask for substitutions. Example: if a chicken dish is fried ask if it can be grilled instead. Restaurants will accommodate most anything these days.  If the entree comes with a cheesy or buttery side dish, ask for steamed veggies or a salad on the side instead.

Now just relax and enjoy dining out. It’s a fun occasion and a treat. If you want to indulge, do it and enjoy it. Just don’t beat yourself up for it afterwards or feel guilty. Get right back on track and don’t forget your workouts. We all deserve it once in awhile!!

What does it mean to Eat Clean? I'm breaking it down for ya...super simple!

What is Eating Clean?

I describe this a couple of different ways. One is to think about how our grandparents ate and what was available to them. They didn’t have all the convenience food we have now. They didn’t have frozen meals to microwave and boxes of stuff to add a couple of your own ingredients. They didn’t have fast food places to go for a quick bite. They had whole, natural food. My grandmother taught me how to make my own noodles because that’s what they used to do.

The other way I think about it is that if the food can go bad it’s good for you. If it can never go bad it’s bad for you

Pretty simple right? Eat a variety of whole, nutritious, natural food along with lean protein and complex carbs from fruits, veggies and whole grains. Drink a lot of water instead of other beverages and you are ready to go!!

There are no shortcuts or magic pills to get you the body you want. To look and feel your absolute best! Sure, there are some programs and drops and pills you can take to lose weight fast but then what do you do? Have you learned how to eat for a lifetime? Have you learned how to eat healthy, delicious food without gaining that weight back? Have you learned how to add fitness into your life? Have you learned how to incorporate a nutrition and fitness plan into the lifestyle you have? No way! The most important thing to remember is that this is a lifestyle and not a diet. It’s not a quick fix. It’s a way of life.

Very important things to remember about eating clean

Everyone has their own version of eating clean. Some people will be more restrictive than others depending on their goals and their preferences, some will make room for certain items in their diet because they love it so much and this is all perfectly fine. Everyone is different and we all need to make the choices that work for us and for our body. The bottom line is, as long as you are making healthier choices you are doing the right thing.

Remove the word perfect from your vocabulary. You will never have a perfect diet or a perfect body. We are always continuing to learn and grow and tweak and adjust our diets as we learn more, as we try new things and hear tips from others. You may feel overwhelmed at first, but you will come to find your nitch and what works for you, your family and your lifestyle.

Indulgences are just fine, just plan for them. My personal rule is that I eat clean at least 80% of the time. I have a very fun social life and we host parties, attend parties, go out for dinner, run around with the kids and their sports and I know there are indulgences. I just plan for them. I know on weekends I’ll enjoy some wine or cocktails. I may be going out for dinner. I do all of these things and enjoy them. I take the guilt out. I know I’ve taken great care of my body and this one event or evening or even weekend isn’t going to ruin it all. I just step right back on the track with the very next meal and the very next choice I can make.

Helpful tips

Try this for at least one week and see how you feel. Yes, eating this way takes a bit more prep and thinking ahead, but it’s worth it.

• Prep your food. Cut up your veggies, wash your fruit, put things in grab and go bags and containers to make it easy to run out the door. Make it just as easy to grab healthy food as it is to open up the pantry and grab a bag of chips. Plan for success. Take away the excuse that you are in a hurry and don’t have time.

• Plan out your meals for the week and write out a grocery list.

• Eat every 2-3 hours. Eat a lean protein and a complex carb at each meal. This will keep your metabolism revving high.

• Schedule your workouts in your calendar and know what workouts you are going to do each day. Take the guess work out of it or going with the “see how I feel and what I want to do” scenario. If you plan in advance you are more likely to do that tough workout you may not feel like doing if you were just deciding that moment.

• Read the ingredient label and nutrition facts on everything. Anything over 5 ingredients or ingredients you can’t pronounce shouldn’t go home with you.

• Water, water and then some more water! You should be drinking at least ½ your body weight in ounces. For example, if you weighed 100 pounds, ½ of that is 50 so you should drink at least 50 ounces of water.

• Get a great cooler type lunch bag and plan for your entire day away from the house the night before.

• Visit the Eat Clean Diet website for tons of recipes and advice. You will see that I get a lot of stuff from here. I’ve learned so much from Tosca Reno’s books and website: http://www.eatcleandiet.com/#2

I’ll be sharing much, much more about all of this and go into greater detail but hopefully this gives you some tips to get started.

Remember, this is not a diet it’s a lifestyle. Just try this out. Try it for a week and see how you feel. Take this one day, one meal at a time. Make it happen! This is not a shortcut or magic pill. This takes time and effort. You will get off track sometimes and that’s okay. Don’t beat yourself up. Just pick yourself up, dust yourself off and jump right back on the right track.

You’ve got this!!

Happy Clean Eating!!

Need a Holiday Hall Pass? I've got yours here!!

One Easy Way to Avoid the Holiday Weight Gain

GainWeightHolidaysSanta

Every holiday season, you try the same old drill. Stuffing? Don’t need the extra carbs. Eggnog? No amount of nutmeg can hide all that fat and alcohol. Pumpkin pie? Too many calories… delicious, creamy decadent calories. Nope, this holiday season, you’re going to stick to your nutrition goals!

But have you ever been successful in doing that? How many times have you gazed miserably at the dessert table, avoiding it like the Plague, only to eventually give in? Come January, you’ve eaten everything you said you wouldn’t – and then some.

You’re not alone. The average American ate 32% more over the four-day Thanksgiving weekend alone. Despite your best efforts to keep unhealthy food out of your line of sight, with all of the social events, candy corners at the office, and tasty sabotages (i.e. gifts, from friends), you simply cannot control your environment as well as you can during the rest of the year. Regardless of all the oaths and intentions, most of us still gain weight during the holidays.

So how do you stay 100% committed to your nutrition plan during the holidays? You don’t! Trying to stay completely on track during the holidays may be the exact thing that causes you to gain weight.

There are several possible reasons for this. The first is the Forbidden Fruit Effect (or Theory of Psychological Resistance). You always long for whatever it is you can’t have. The deprivation itself makes holiday food all the more tempting. Your brain also perceives that you’re being punished and you end up in an battle between the side of you that has promised to stay in control and the side that wants no part of the food restriction. Guess which side typically wins?

The second cause is the Law of Dominant Thought, which says the focus of your thoughts will affect your choices, behaviors, and achievements. There is a reason why health experts recommend you clean out your cupboards of unhealthy foods. Out of sight, out of mind right? Unfortunately, during the holidays, indulgences are constantly in your sights—and therefore at the forefront of your mind. When you spend the day obsessing over not snacking on peppermint bark, you can’t be surprised when you go through the whole tin in one sitting. Where your mind goes, energy flows. Constant exposure to unhealthy foods, combined with the alcohol that often flows freely at holiday events, can make you more likely to overeat.

The third culprit that contributes to holiday binging is stress. The planning, cooking, decorating, and managing schedules of the holidays may push you to crave comfort foods – anything high in fat, sugar and/or salt – that temporarily calm your nerves. But, in the end you end up more stressed from the disappointment of not being able to fit into your “skinny” jeans.

So, now you know what’s going on in your head during the holidays. So how can you overcome all of these influences and keep off added holiday pounds?

The solution is the Holiday Hall Pass. This sweet indulgence allows you to make the most of the holidays, with five safeguards to prevent you from getting too crazy. These safeguards—let’s call them holiday helpers—create an environment that evokes positive emotions that calm the negative ones you experience when you attempt to deprive yourself.

Holiday Helper #1: Exercise a little bit every morning

The first little helper is a pre-performance morning exercise routine. Spend at least 20 minutes doing anything active: T25, PiYo, walking the dog, whatever it is that you do. During typical weeks, fitness experts recommend one day of rest, but during the holidays, it’s best to be active every single morning to stay consistent. It can be an all-out workout or a simple physical activity to create a positive tone for the day, helping you keep off the stress.

Holiday Helper #2: Keep a journal

If you simply write down what you do and feel throughout the day, you’ll become aware of your choices, causing you to continue to make good ones. Through writing, you bring a little logic back into the equation, which helps you overcome your emotional tendencies.

For maximum results, journal immediately before you show up to a holiday event. Write down what you’ve already eaten that day and how your choices have made you feel. If you’ve already chosen to eat unhealthily throughout the day, the awareness you bring through this journaling process will help you to create a plan of action for the upcoming event. It’s not about saying to yourself “Well, I’ve already ruined this day so I’ll start again tomorrow,” but rather asking yourself what one positive thing you can achieve at this event to feel good about yourself and the choices you made.

On the other hand, if you have been eating healthily so far and are energized and proud of yourself, bringing those thoughts and feelings to the present moment will enhance your opportunity to be mindful about what you choose to eat at the holiday event.

Holiday Helper #3: Don’t let yourself get hungry

You should graze every 2-3 hours. Whether it’s a full meal or just a light snack. Keeping your metabolism up and your stomach satisfied will prevent you from becoming too hungry. You won’t end up with plates of food you have to haul away with a forklift if you aren’t starving when mealtime finally rolls around.

Holiday Helper #4: Set holiday indulging intentions for yourself

Remember, this isn’t about denying yourself anything delicious; your intentions simply set the scene for an enjoyable-yet-controlled feasting experience. You can choose to allow a small indulgence with each meal, whether it be one piece of cake or a few little cookies. You can also choose to go ‘all out’ for one special night. Also use attentional cues—pre-made questions pre-programmed and scheduled in your smartphone to help you stick to your intentions. Some examples of attentional cues are: Are you proud of your food choices so far today? Would the people who want you to succeed be happy with your choices? Are you giving all the effort you can to following through on your plan? Does this food taste better than how your body looks/feels when you’re healthy?

Holiday Helper #5: Be easy on yourself

Feeling guilty about indulgences only amps up the stress, leading you right back to the second and third serving of turkey and cranberry sauce. Enjoy your holiday and indulge without beating yourself up.

Kinda Sorta?

Don't forget!!  Your fitness and nutrition lifestyle doesn't end on the weekends.  What's the point of "being good" during the week and throwing in the towel on the weekends only to have to start it all over again on Monday?

There's nothing magic about a Monday. Right?  Don't do that to yourself.  Be consistent.  When you are consistent you can allow for a few weekend indulgences. It's the on again off again roller coaster you want to stay away from.

Shakeology is expensive. But can you afford not to drink it?

Here's another fabulous article from a fellow Beachbody Coach that I wanted to share with you.  I know, truly I do, that Shakeology is expensive and there's tons and tons of other shakes and powders and supplements that you can make your shake with but in the end after you add all this stuff into your shake is it really less expensive?  Is it really as chock full of all of these nutrients and super foods that Shakeology has?  Is it full of fillers and artificial ingredients and fake sugars to make it taste like cake batter?  Check out all the ingredients and compare for yourself.

When I first became a Beachbody Coach I solely did it for the discount on Shakeology.  I loved it so much and what it did for my body and how it made me feel on the inside and then how it started to help me change my body.  I figured out how to make it fit into my budget and then realized that I was cutting out those daily morning stops at Starbucks or Emerald City Smoothie.

I compared the ingredients on the smoothies I was getting and it didn't even come close AND, here's the kicker….the smoothie I was getting was not only loaded with too many extra ingredients, calories and artificial ingredients my body didn't need it was also $2 more expensive per day than my Shakeology was!!!  No brainer right there!  I cut out all that extra stuff which I wasn't craving any more, because YEP!!  Shakeology does that too, it takes away so many of your cravings!!  You don't need that stuff anymore.

So in the end I began saving money with buying Shakeology!  It was costing me less money per day for my daily dose of dense nutrition than my usual morning routine.  This is way more than a protein shake my friends!!  This is a meal replacement shake full of everything your body needs to operate at its best!!

Trust me, just try it out for 30 days and see for yourself.  If you don't like it, even if you finish the entire bag, you can return it for a refund.  Crazy right?  ~Christina

How This Coach Can Afford Shakeology as a Single Mom

Beachbody® Coach, Sally Hill-Dunn, is such a huge fan of Shakeology that she wrote an amazing article about how she figured out how to afford Shakeology into her tight monthly budget. She has shared this article on her blog, and we found it to be so compelling that we’re re-sharing it on ours. Thanks for sharing, Sally. And may the force of Shakeology be with you always.

1956911_10203370978424711_20195813_o

Not love at first sight.
I’ve got to admit, I didn’t always love Shakeology. Even though I researched Shakeology’s ingredients and thought they were amazing, for a long time I was into making my own superfood smoothies. Due to budget constraints, I thought that making my own smoothies from scratch was the best I could do, and the best I could afford.
But when I decided to participate in the Beachbody Challenge®, I ordered a LES MILLS PUMP Challenge Pack (which came with a 30-day supply of Shakeology) and signed up as a Coach to get the biggest discount.
By day 3 of drinking Shakeology, I felt like a new me.
Now, not only do I get one bag of Shakeology every month, I get two—just to make sure I don’t run out. I know what you’re thinking: It’s expensive, so how can I swing it? Well, with just a few tweaks in my spending habits I found it extremely doable. And here’s how I did it…

How I afford TWO bags of Shakeology every month.

Things I DO NOT buy:
• I DO NOT buy bottled water. The price of water in a bottle is ridiculous! I have a filter and make my own bottled water.
• I DO NOT buy fancy coffees. Starbucks admits they have an 80% markup.
• I DO NOT buy gum, candy, cookies, any snackie things, or desserts. It wouldn’t make any sense to care enough about my health that I buy the best shake on the planet with 70 superfoods to nourish myself with and then turn around and tear down my health by filling my body with junk food.
• I DO NOT eat out very often. Some months I’ll eat out twice, other months I eat out zero. I buy good food from the store and make good meals at home.
• I DO NOT buy TV channels. We watch so many things online.
• I DO NOT have a fancy phone or expensive plan. I have unlimited texting and Internet, with a limited amount of talk time, for only $35 a month.
• I DO NOT have a gym membership. Instead, I work out right in my living room, at the touch of the remote, with Beachbody programs that are created by some of the best trainers on the planet. Plus, it costs me ZERO gallons of gas getting to and from my workouts.
• I DO NOT buy extra vitamins and minerals. Because Shakeology contains over 70 dense superfood ingredients, I do not need additional supplements. Food in its synergistic form works together to keep my body healthy, my cells fed, and my body overflowing with energy.

Why I think Shakeology is a great deal:

• Shakeology kills my junk food cravings. Because it’s so nutritionally dense, Shakeology gives my body what it needs in a form that can be easily absorbed. Plus, it’s so incredibly delicious that it feels like I’m having a treat. It’s the best of both worlds!
• Shakeology is soooooooo convenient. I just add it to water and it mixes easily.
• Shakeology is packed with superfoods. I used to buy separate superfoods to add to my smoothies. Then I realized that I was spending way more on my separate superfoods per month, even from discount sources, than I would spend on Shakeology. Compared to what I used to spend, I’m actually saving money by purchasing Shakeology!

Why my body loves this stuff…

Before becoming a Shakeology fan, when I looked into the ingredients of other shakes there was always something in them that made it a compromise for my health and immune system. I have an immune system disorder, among other things, and there are just so many ingredients I have to watch out for. Shakeology is the first shake that is filled with ingredients that are ALL the ones that I can have. I drink the vegan flavors and have been thriving on them.
During the time that I thought I could not afford Shakeology, even though I was very impressed with it, I still thought I didn’t need it. It wasn’t until I began drinking it that I realized what a treasure it truly is. And, I have never wavered in my conviction that I will always drink Shakeology. And, yes, I drink it every single day.

One shake a day keeps me A-OK.

photo via @florencejacquinot
photo via @florencejacquinot
I believe that Shakeology affects my body in the best possible way when I drink it every day. If I were to drink it every other day, my results would not be as great. If I were to only drink it a couple times a week, my results would be even less. I get great results, only because I drink it every single day. It’s my secret weapon. It wasn’t until I had it in my hands and had been using it every day for a few days that I realized what a difference Shakeology could make in my life, and I have not been wrong about that.
It is so powerful, simply because it is a blend of 70 of the most densely nutritious ingredients that money can buy—and to me, it’s worth it. I am worth it. My health is worth it. I’m going to go make a Tropical Strawberry smoothie now and I’ll be sipping it with a straw while you read this. And, if you have some Shakeology and it has been sitting on a shelf, you should go make yourself a shake, too, and get that yummy stuff into your belly.

5 Shakeology Myths - are they true?

Oh my gosh I could not have said this better myself!!  Next to finding Shaunt T and Insanity, Shakeology was the absolute game changer in my life and I have hardly gone a day without it since I began drinking it over 2 years ago.

Seriously, read this.  There's a TON of misconceptions about what Shakeology is and isn't, the price, the super foods…this is explains it all very well.  I've had conversations with so many of you about all that Shakeology has done for me, but read this article too if you are still wondering what the heck this stuff is and why so many people love it.

Then I know you'll want to try it so let me know and I'll hook you up!!  ~Christina

5 Shakeology Myths —DEBUNKED by a Coach!

Beachbody® Coach, Seay Stanford, feels so passionate about the shake that changed her life that she wrote the article below to debunk all those Shakeology Myths floating around. This article is so powerful and real that we had no choice but to share it with the rest of the world. So here you go. Enjoy! And thanks, Seay. We couldn’t have said it better ourselves.
top shakeology myths
#1 MISCONCEPTION: Shakeology is a protein shake.
Meaning just a shake that provides extra protein. I can’t blame the general public for thinking this since “protein shake” has become nearly an interchangeable term for ANY shake. But, all shakes are not created equal—especially ones that contain superfoods. Shakeology is a very nutrient-dense shake that can be used for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. You’d have to eat a whole lot of fruits and vegetables to equal the nutrition in a single glass of Shakeology—and you probably couldn’t do it for less than 170 calories. Shakeology makes it very easy to cut your calories without substantially cutting down your daily volume of nutrients needed. Truth be told, the majority of people are WAY MORE nutrient deficient, than they are protein deficient. So why just stop at a protein shake?
#2 MISCONCEPTION: Shakeology is about comparing carbs, proteins, and fats to other shakes.
This is not at all what you should be comparing when you look at other shakes versus Shakeology. Sure, other shakes have 0 grams of sugar. But how do you think those shakes achieve that? Hint, it’s not natural. Yes, that’s right, they are probably using ARTIFICIAL sweeteners to get to 0 grams of sugar. Even fruit has sugar in it. A shake with 0 grams of sugar is using ARTIFICIAL sweeteners. Shakeology has NO artificial sweeteners, NO artificial colors, NO soy, NO artificial stimulants, and NO artificial flavors. One of its main sweeteners is Stevia, which is plant-based.
#3 MISCONCEPTION: Shakeology is just a bunch of extracts, with no whole-food ingredients.
That’s not true. Whenever it’s possible and sustainable for the formula, the superfoods in Shakeology are preserved in their whole-food state to retain maximum nutrient value. It’s a very difficult process to use whole, plant-based ingredients so that the formula retains as much nutritional value as possible, but Shakeology has a whole team of scientists whose mission is to maximize the nutrition in every ingredient in Shakeology. Imagine trying to juice all those superfoods! Shakeology is way less expensive and a huge time-saver.
#4 MISCONCEPTION: Shakeology is expensive.
To anyone who feels this product is expensive I know that I have not done my diligence in breaking down its REAL VALUE. Most people will agree that they would spend an average of $3 to $7 on a HEALTHY nutritious meal. I know most store-bought salads cost even more than that, and don’t contain nearly the dense concentration of nutrients. But on average, I think we can all agree healthy meals run between $3 and $7. Shakeology, at $4.33 per shake, comes in on the LOW END of average. (You can make Shakeology into a breakfast or lunch that you’d be buying anyway.) Not only are you spending less than you normally would, you’re also getting vital nutrients your body needs, that you just can’t get from your run-of-the-mill salad, plus the normal range of vitamins and minerals. So you can replace your VITAMINS, too. Sure, you may need a specific vitamin, based on your conditions, geography, or age—but in general, Shakeology will provide you with a solid base of your whole-food nutrients.
When was the last time you went to your grocery store and bought THIRTY meals all at once? Typically, I’m guessing, you buy a few days’ worth each time. When you buy a bulk bag of Shakeology, you are buying 30 of your shakes up-front. That means you’ll spend less money at the grocery store. Because of the grocery savings, I actually deduct my monthly Shakeology from my grocery budget. For the price, I cannot duplicate its vast quality of ingredients and nutrients.
#5 MISCONCEPTION: Shakeology is only for weight loss.
Most shakes are marketed this way. But here’s the thing. Anything will induce weight loss if it’s low enough in calories. Just because you are drinking a shake, does not mean the fat will melt off. Actually, if you are not getting enough nutrients and calories you will actually inhibit your weight-loss efforts. Shakeology is about HEALTH. When you put the RIGHT nutrients in your body that it needs to develop, heal, recover, repair, and thrive, you may ultimately have MORE energy, LESS cravings, and FEEL better therefore you eat less and become more active. With Shakeology, weight loss becomes a BY-PRODUCT of dense nutrition.
To make my point, when was the last time you dieted and cut calories only to feel tired, grouchy, and had a ton of cravings? That is because you may have been nutrient deficient. What if you’re at your goal weight, or need to GAIN weight? Because Shakeology is about DENSE NUTRITION you can use it as your base and add clean calories to make it 300 calories or more. Not everyone needs to lose weight, but everyone needs to be healthier. Shakeology isn’t MAGIC. It’s just clean dense nutrition made SUPER easy for everyone at a very affordable price. It’s my family’s “fast food” on the counter. Yes, my family goes through 4–5 bags a MONTH because even though we all have different weight and caloric needs, we all share the same NUTRITIONAL needs. Shakeology isn’t a weight-loss shake—it’s a nutrition shake.
